Why is the human race more divided now than ever? There are a multitude of reasons, but chief among them is that our consciousness is expanding. However, we are not all expanding in the same direction and also, some are remaining stuck and being left behind. This is a natural part of the process, though there are individuals and institutions that deliberately fan the flames of division knowing they benefit from it.
Humanity will eventually grow out of this phase and evolve. How fast depends on every one of us. The greatest barrier to unity, and cause of all divisions, is over-identification – be it with a name, a cause, one’s gender, or race. Occasionally, we must let go of what we hold precious, expand our minds, view and understand how the other side operates. It is the only way to bridge and heal the current divide.
