San Diego Comic Con – anyone going?

Are there any Twilight Lady readers planning to go to San Diego Comic Con this year?

If not, what about any other comic (or related) convention anytime, anywhere?

Just curious…

The Indwellers

The Indwellers

No longer able to astral project… to separate herself from her body prison, even temporarily. What now for our Lady?

The beginning of “The Indwellers”, a brand new story arc, finds she who (used to) haunt the dark in the depths of depression. What will jolt her out of it?

The answer… a mission, of sorts. One instigated by a familiar face who, sensing the type of situation needed to galvanize her friend, introduces the Lady to a young soul looking to avenge a death. And when matters of the blood are involved, the Nameless One invariably finds herself drawn in…

Illustrated by the new art team of Przemyslaw R. Dedelis (pencils) and Sean Burres (colors), “The Indwellers” sees the realities of Subrealm and Senserealm interact and collide in a way not witnessed before in this series. If you thought you knew the rules… well, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

… “Nemesis of Decay”, Chapter 3?

Feel free to discuss/comment on the entire storyline as a whole, now that it’s over, or this last specific chapter/issue (pages 47-78… it was, in traditional print comic terms, a 32-page “double-size” issue).

I will also be happy to answer any questions.

I’m firing myself

Well… sort of. Although performing every single aspect in the production of Twilight Lady has been hugely educational, I’ve felt for awhile that it would better serve the comic if I were to focus solely on the writing.

In other words, the big announcement I’m making is that Twilight Lady will have a new artist, beginning with the next story arc.

A preview page will be up shortly. In the meantime, don’t shed no tears for the guy I just fired. He couldn’t draw for nuts, ate all my food, only showed up when he felt like it, fancied himself a writer… I mean, sometimes he’d even try to tell me how to do my job… anyway, best thing I can say about him is that he worked for free.

… will herald a major new direction for this comic, as well as wrap up the current storyline.

I kid you not. The entire series so far has been building up to this point.

In particular, those looking for clues to the mystery that is the Lady in the Hood will not want to miss pages 59-60 of “Nemesis of Decay”.

Don’t say I didn’t warn ya.

… “Nemesis of Decay”, Chapter 2?

I plan to start a thread like this at the end of every chapter/issue from now on, inviting comments (and discussion) on the entire chapter, rather than individual pages/updates.

Think of this as the equivalent of a traditional comic book letter column, but with much greater interactive potential.

Naturally, we’ll start with the latest issue, Chapter 2 (pages 23-46) of “Nemesis of Decay”.

Ask any question about Twilight Lady.

And if somebody asks a question and you know the answer (or have a theory), feel free to chime in.

Twilight Lady @ the Last Chance Saloon

Come end of this month, Twilight Lady Sings the Blues will no longer be available as a PDF donation incentive. Why? Well, I did say it was for a limited time only back in… um… January. Figured it was time I started offering some other goodie. (Watch this space for news.)

For those who haven’t read it, Twilight Lady Sings the Blues is a 10-page story in which Jen, on her first out-of-town gig, runs into a blind bluesman haunted by the ghost of murder ballads past… and when murder is involved, can the Lady in the Hood be far behind?

Starting November 1, this special tale will be available in (shudder) print format only. So spare those trees and getcha PDF while you can!
