Funny…I’ve always considered pain to be a repellent to oblivion. After all, it’s said you feel less pain once you realize you’re going to die, is it not? Granted…I suppose the “oblivion” could mean unconsiousness, not death, but that is not how I took it.
Anyway, wonder what that little gremlin(forget the species’ name) is doing watching them?
I also note that the eyes of the demon which is holding Rona are not even in the first panel…was that intentional?
I think possibly that could be the same ‘gremlin’ that led Rona along to find her father. We may be able to expect some sort of intervention or assistance from the little guy! Hurray!
BTW I propose we nickname the little guy Brain based off the line Rona said to him after the Lady went away. So perhaps we may be expecting Brain’s help. 😀
So that’s why the Lady is having so much trouble. I had expected her to recover from the shock quickly, but one who can’t even remember what pain is would have a hard time sorting out one’s consciousness.
