What I think is, Jen yawning is BAAAAAAAD news for him. If she falls asleep, he’s a goner.
Unless getting Jen to fall asleep was the plan.
Hmm, yeah, it wouldn’t really make sense to take her to a place out of the way on a sleepover if they didn’t have a plan in place to handle the sleeping part.
That is, unless she was supposed to die nowish.
Had an opportunity to include a really awful pun in the 2nd panel, but resisted. (Or at least, didn’t make it explicit.)
