Bert, if this turns out the way most things do in this comic, I’m pretty sure none of your imagined possibilities will be the one Mr Blake Chen chooses. Things are -never- as they seem and there’s no such thing as figuring the next frame out. Mindboggling and very, very pleasant to be clueless for once 🙂
not to be ridiculous or picky but fang just got a grenade shot at him from that FN2000….I dunno…..also to the above comment. thats an FN2000 military issue, with onboard computer and built in 40mm grenade launcher, and an FN SCAR-L, you can tell its a light model because of the longer m4/m16 magazine, the scar-H is a larger calibre but a shorter magazine.
They must have some serious armaments connexions to get that kind of fire power or have the laws changed or different in this world? This earth? There are literally quadrillions of them by now since the Big Bang.
I see three possibilities coming (well, more, but three very likely ones) and only two of those work out in Marge’s favor.

You’re right… there should be a bigger explosion behind Fang in the 2nd panel. I’ll have to correct that for the print version. 😉
